Why I started Kallo.
I started Kallo with a simple aim: to help good design be understood by the people who have to decide on it, before anything is built.
Architects and designers can look at a set of plans and picture the finished space. For a client or a future buyer, that leap is harder. Kallo closes the gap, bringing the light, materials and character of a design into view while there is still time to shape it.
The work starts with listening. What makes this project special? Who needs to see it? What do you want them to feel? Those conversations shape the images and films we make, whether for a single home, a client presentation or a development launch.
The studio is in Christchurch, with a satellite office in Matakana, north of Auckland. We work with architects, developers, real estate teams and new-home builders in New Zealand, Australia and the United States. You work directly with me, with a clear brief, close attention to detail and time to review the work together.

Exterior and interior images show the materials, light and character of a space. Fly-throughs, fly-overs and short films reveal how the spaces connect and how a building sits in its setting.
Bring your plans, existing design files and ideas for the project. We will talk through what you need and agree a proposal for the images and video that will serve it best.

- Tell us what people should understand about your project. We agree the views, details and overall impression that will help you communicate it clearly.
- You stay involved in the important decisions
- You have a clear say in the views, finishes and mood. You review the work against the agreed brief and bring your feedback together before the final images and video are delivered.
- The scope comes before the work
- You receive a fixed quote, a delivery date and an agreed set of images or video. What is included, and the opportunity for changes, are explained before you commit.
- A clear distinction between image and drawing
- The visuals help people picture your project. Details and dimensions in an image are approximate; use the original drawings for measurements and construction decisions.
- Your project stays private
- Project files and images stay private unless you approve publication in writing. If you need an NDA or a particular retention arrangement, we can agree that before you share the files.
- One project can become a whole visual story
- A hero exterior, a sequence of interiors, a fly-through and a short website film can share an agreed visual direction. We plan the set around where you will use it.
